The identity of the body was confirmed by Polish prosecutors as being that of Piotr Woźniak-Starak.

Piotr Woźniak-Starak, a Polish film producer, had been missing since Sunday morning, after he fell out of a motorboat on Kisajno lake in north-east Poland.

Local police officers responded to a report that a motorboat was sailing on the lake and, upon arrival, they found a drifting boat with nobody on board. The rescue mission started immediately and soon a 27-year-old woman was found on the shore of the lake.

She told the police that she was on board with Mr Starak-Woźniak and while performing a sharp turn, they both fell into the water.
